Initiative 1.3. Reforming Research Assessment
02INTRODUCTION

What is it about?
Traditionally, the evaluation of researchers has focused primarily on research publications and associated quantitative indicators, such as a limited set of publication metrics. Other research-related activities – including teaching, leadership, and societal impact – are often considered less important, or are overlooked. Additionally, current evaluation systems emphasise individual performance while neglecting the role of teamwork and collaboration.
