The objective of the ERA-NET scheme is to develop and strengthen the coordination of national and regional research programmes. Authorities identify research programmes which they wish to coordinate or open up mutually. The participants in these actions are therefore programme “owners” (typically ministries or regional authorities defining research programmes) or programme “managers” (such as research councils or other research funding agencies managing research programmes).
Based on the Report “ERA-NET Scheme from FP6 to Horizon 2020” (European Commission, 2014) two interactive infographics show country participations in ERA-NETs and budgetary contributions to joint calls in FP6 and FP7.
