Science Europe appoints new governing board
Science Europe elected a new Governing Board at its General Assembly in Oslo, coinciding with its annual High-Level Workshop on the European Research Area. The new Board, led by President Mari Sundli Tveit (Research Council of Norway), includes Vice-presidents Marcel Levi (Dutch Research Council) and Francisco Javier Moreno Fuentes (CSIC), along with nine other members from leading research institutions across Europe:

- Vice-president: Francisco Javier Moreno Fuentes (CSIC)
- Katja Becker (German Research Foundation)
- Katarina Bjelke (Swedish Research Council)
- Anna Di Ciaccio (National Institute for Nuclear Physics)
- Tjaša Dobnik (Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency)
- Christof Gattringer (Austrian Science Fund)
- Krzysztof Jóźwiak (National Science Centre)
- Torsten Schwede (Swiss National Science Foundation)
- Christopher Smith (UK Research and Innovation) .
This Board will guide Science Europe’s strategy from 2025 to 2027, focusing on strengthening European research cooperation and advancing evidence-informed policy. Their leadership aims to sustain Science Europe’s impact and foster a coherent, open research ecosystem.
