New practical guidance supports valorisation of multidisciplinary R&I results
The European Commission has published new practical guidance to help research and innovation projects turn multidisciplinary results into greater societal, economic and policy value.
Released on 1 September, the Practical Guidance for the Valorisation of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation Results provides Horizon Europe projects and other research initiatives with concrete support for creating value from research outputs, including those involving the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).
The publication builds on the EU policy framework for knowledge valorisation, established through the Council Recommendation (EU) 2022/2415 on the Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation. It also responds to the ERA Policy Agenda 2025–2027, which identifies stronger valorisation of multidisciplinary research as a priority.
By encouraging a more strategic approach to valorisation, the guidance aims to accelerate the use of multidisciplinary knowledge and ensure that European research delivers stronger benefits for people, communities, businesses and policymakers.
