European Innovation Council and Climate Mission launch €50 Million push for Climate Resilience Start-Ups
The European Innovation Council (EIC) and the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change have announced a joint €50 million funding initiative to accelerate breakthrough resilience solutions across Europe. Up to twelve pioneering start-ups and SMEs will be selected for support under the EIC Accelerator, aimed at tackling urgent challenges, such as extreme heatwaves in cities, climate-smart agriculture, water scarcity, and flood protection.
The call welcomes applications from companies ready to scale climate adaptation solutions, with a strong encouragement for female-led ventures. Successful projects can receive grants up to €2.5 million and access to equity investments up to €10 million, plus tailored mentoring and access to the EIC’s European innovation network.
Details will be shared at the EIC Info Days on 13–14 November 2025, including sessions about support services and the ‘Deep Tech for Climate Adaptation’ challenge.
