EUA briefing looks at connection between competitiveness policies and professional qualifications

On 8 April 2026, the European University Association (EUA) published a briefing offering a digest of recent policy initiatives that are relevant to the recognition of professional qualification in the context of EU competitiveness policies. The chapters are ordered by the portfolios of relevant European Commissioners.

The briefing also includes a section on trade agreements, which often contain provisions relating to the mutual recognition of professional qualifications – and always cover the mobility of qualified professionals.
