73 new projects to be funded under Horizon Europe Research Infrastructures call
The European Commission's Research Executive Agency (REA) has selected 73 new projects with a total budget of €411 million for funding under the 2025 Horizon Europe Research Infrastructures call. The new projects will provide researchers and innovators with better and more accessible tools, services, and technologies to support fields such as health research, climate resilience, agriculture, transport, and manufacturing. The projects will also invest in professionals behind research infrastructures by improving training, fostering mobility, and creating new career opportunities.
The outcomes are expected to support Mission Cancer, Destination Earth, accelerate the green and digital transitions, and advance scientific knowledge while making Europe more competitive. The projects have been selected to work under 18 different topics under the following headings:
- Developing, consolidating and optimising the European research infrastructures landscape, maintaining global leadership (INFRADEV): 30 projects funded
- FAIR and open data sharing, European Open Science Cloud Association (EOSC) Partnership, Innovative and customisable services for EOSC Exchange (INFRAEOSC): 13 projects funded
- RIs services to support health research, the green transition, the digital transformation, and frontier knowledge(INFRASERV): 12 projects funded
- Next generation of scientific instrumentation, tools and methods and advanced digital solutions (INFRATECH destination) I 18 projects funded
