A Maastricht for Research

On 16 Oct. 2013, the European Parliament officialy launched a manifesto called "Towards a Maastricht for Research".
With this manifesto, the European Parliament proposes to launch more binding instruments in parallel to completing the recommendations of the ERA Partnership between the European Commission and the Member States, e.g. an ERA Framework Directive.
As a reaction on this document, Science Europe states in its comment that more evidence-based policy would be needed before thinking of legislative decisions.
