This year's theme, "Energy Research and Innovation for a Competitive Europe," highlights the need to reinforce the research and innovation landscape, to enhance competitiveness and sovereignty of clean energy technology value chains within the EU. This reinforcement is crucial to collectively overcome the energy crisis and tackle the global climate challenge. The conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to establish connections and expand collaborations aimed at developing and demonstrating innovative clean energy solutions, while accelerating their deployment. Additionally, It will foster the alignment of national and European policies, thereby avoiding the issue of fragmented resources, initiatives and regulations.

The conference will take the form of a two days and a half high-level event that will gather public and private representatives in the national, European and International innovation landscape. It will feature plenary and parallel sessions devoted to the main energy issues that Europe faces. The programme will combine panel discussions and participatory sessions as well as side events and networking opportunities. Moreover, this event will also pursue the balanced representation of different interests including research, industry, government, and the public.
