ESFRI, the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures, is a strategic instrument that develops and implements an ambitious research infrastructure policy for the European Union, coordinated between the Member States and over a dozen Associated Countries. The ESFRI delegates meet on a quarterly basis.

On 23 and 24 March, ESFRI will present its new Roadmap, which will include an updated list of the over 60 research infrastructures that it coordinates and supports. The topic of big data and e-infrastructures will also be addressed.

On 25 March, the French Academy of Sciences will host a scientific conference to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ESFRI, which has become a cornerstone of the European Union’s globally influential network of research infrastructures. This event will reflect on the pioneering and strategic nature of this research infrastructure policy, which no Member State would be capable of financing alone. It will be open to researchers and the general public.

This event is co-organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), the European Commission and the French Academy of Sciences.
