Multiplying the Rs in industrial innovation: rethinking, redesigning, reusing, repairing, recycling

The event is meant to share the findings and to discuss the new ERA circular technologies roadmap for textile, construction and energy-intensive industries, that has just been published by DG Research and Innovation, as part of the new European Research Area.

For the first time, the roadmap assesses 92 relevant technologies for the circularity of the targeted industrial ecosystems, which address all stages of a material and product lifecycle. It indicates the means to develop and adopt these technologies, which can help reduce the impact on climate and the environment. It finds a leading position of EU companies in circular technologies and indicates current investments in circular technologies as well as R&I investment needs. The roadmap builds on contributions from industry, other R&I stakeholders, Member States, and relevant European Horizon partnerships.
