University of Vienna joins European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities
The European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) has announced that it has been joined by three new members: the University of Vienna, the University of Turku and Trinity College Dublin.
EASSH is a membership organisation made up of scientific networks, associations, disciplinary groups and universities. The main purpose of EASSH is to promote learning and research in the social sciences and humanities (SSH) as a resource for Europe and the world, and to engage with policymakers and research funders in support of the social sciences and humanities.
EASSH has recently published a position paper entitled 'Monitoring SSH integration still matters' which shares reflections on the final monitoring report on the integration of SSH in Horizon 2020. It identifies the key parts of the funding process where attention is needed to allow for better integration of SSH in the programme. The observations are intended to also inform the development of the next Framework Programme.
