EIT launches UK Hub to bridge EU and UK innovation sectors
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has officially launched the EIT Hub UK, following the United Kingdom’s recent association to Horizon Europe. The EIT Hub UK serves as a testament to the partnership between the EU and the UK in driving innovation and addressing global challenges.
The Hub, which was launched on 12 March 2024, is part of the EIT’s Global Outreach Programme that acts as a bridge linking the EIT’s innovation ecosystem with those of outreach locations, forging synergies with global innovation leaders.
In 2021 and 2022, the EIT Community worked with over 110 UK partners coming from business, research, education, cities, regions and NGOs. The EIT Hub UK will be a one stop shop for EU and UK innovation players (start-ups, scale-ups, corporates, research institutions, and other stakeholders), by leading matchmaking activities, immersion visits and building a bridge for commercial collaborations. Through a range of programmes, events, and initiatives, the Hub will provide support and resources to entrepreneurs and innovators, empowering them to scale their ventures and make a meaningful impact on a global scale.
