Commission announces winners of emergency funding action for coronavirus outbreak
On 30 January 2020, the European Commission launched a call on clinical and public health response to COVID-19 epidemic with a budget of €47.5 million. After the evaluation, 17 projects are short-listed for funding. In total, the projects involve 136 research teams from across the EU and beyond who will work on improving epidemiology and public health, rapid point-of-care diagnostic tests, new treatments and development of new vaccines.
