EUA and Universities UK publish document preparing for no-deal Brexit
On 18 February 2019, the European University Association (EUA) and Universities UK published a common document in order to assist universities in preparing for a no-deal Brexit. The document points to the areas where universities can act and indicates general actions that can be taken. However, the authors point out that the document cannot replace technical guidance by the European Commission or individual governments.
EUA and Universities UK have identified four major areas of importance for universities that are likely to be affected by a no-deal scenario. These areas (People, Cooperation, Data, Trade) provide a framework for identifying problems. The authors advise universities to identify any other areas which are relevant for their specific context and type of collaborations.
