DGs for Higher Education discuss European Universities and European Student Card in Vienna
On 18 and 19 October 2018, the Directors General for Higher Education met at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna to discuss the future orientation of higher education in the European Union. The discussion focused on the realisation of the European Education Area with its initiatives on European Universities and the European Student Card as well as the automatic recognition of academic diplomas. The keynote addressed the role of higher education in a digital era. In addition, the participants discussed how to achieve stronger cooperation between the Bologna process and ET2020 as well as the future development opportunities of U-Multirank. The Romanian delegation provided an outlook on the upcoming Romanian EU Council Presidency programme.
