CEASER statement welcomes prioritisation of knowledge in next MFF
CEASER, the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research, has published a statement commenting on the EC proposal on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF, 2021-2027). In its statement, the association welcomes the relative prioritisation of research, education and innovation in the EC’s recent proposal. However, CESAER emphasises that the budget proposed for Horizon Europe and for Erasmus+ is significantly lower than the targets of €160 billion and €40 billion that had been urged by CESAER and many other university associations. The statement stresses that higher budgets are needed for these fields in order for Europe to become a global leader and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
