EUA looks for ideas for simplification in FP9
The European University Association (EUA) is carrying out a survey among its members in order to collect ideas on how to simplify participation in EU-funded projects in the EU Research Framework Programme. The purpose of the survey is to collect input on how to make the administration of EU-funded research projects more efficient and less complex, time-consuming and costly. Contributors should provide evidence on possible ways to further simplify participation of universities in FP9 and limit any potential “unintended consequences” of the recent changes in the Model Grant Agreement. The survey focuses on several issues under the overall area of simplification, particularly the acceptance of institutional and national accounting and management practices.
The outcome of the EUA Survey on Simplification of the FP will feed into the preparation of EUA’s response to the Commission stakeholder consultation on EU funds in the area of investment, research & innovation, SMEs and single market. The outcome will also be used to support EUA’s broader set of activities and current discussions with EU institutions on how to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of FP9.
The deadline to complete the survey is 16 February 2018.
