Commission launches public consultation on EU funds for R&I and other areas
On 10 January 2018, the European Commission started a public consultation on EU funds in the area of investment, research & innovation, SMEs and single market. All citizens, organisations and stakeholders with an interest and/or involvement in issues related to investment, entrepreneurship, research, innovation and SMEs are welcome to respond to this consultation. In parallel there are other consultations running, covering the following areas: Cohesion; Security; Migration and Asylum; Strategic Infrastructure; Values and Mobility.
In 2018, the Commission will make proposals for the next generation of financial programmes for the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework. The proposals will be designed to make it possible for the EU to deliver on the things that matter most, in areas where it can achieve more than Member States acting alone. Prior to this, an assessment both of what has worked well in the past and what could be improved in the future will be carried out. This consultation is an integral part of the process and the views expressed by stakeholders will be taken into account.
The Commission will summarise the replies after the end of the consultation period. Your replies will be taken into account when designing comprehensive proposals for the post -2020 Multiannual Financial Framework and for the next generation of financial programmes.
The consultation will be closed on 8 March 2018.
