EC publishes list of beneficiaries of latest round of Horizon 2020 SME Instrument
On 19 October 2017, the European Commission announced that €5.9 million will be invested in 119 innovative businesses in the context of the latest round of the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument cut-off date. Most of the projects to be funded are in the area of ICT (29), followed by transport (16) and low-carbon and efficient energy systems (15). Spanish SMEs were particularly successful with 17 companies accepted for funding, followed by firms from Italy (14), Germany and Switzerland (10 each). Three Austrian SMEs were selected for funding:
- Tremitas GmbH, Klagenfurt - Tremipen (The first simple monitoring device for Parkinson and other Tremor diseases)
- Konrad Forsttechnik GmbH, Preitenegg - Timber Shuttle (The novel wood-harvesting system for mechanical steep-slope logging)
- Mobility Services Hub MSH GmbH, Vienna - MSH (The one-stop-shop for urban and regional mobility).
