Croatia presents position paper on FP9
Croatia has recently presented its position paper "Guiding Principles for the New Framework Programme". The aim of the paper is to contribute to the Horizon 2020 interim evaluation as well as to define guiding principles for the next programming period. Different stakeholders were consulted, and various points of view were taken into consideration in the process of preparing this position paper. Croatia emphasises the great importance of defining guiding principles to be implemented in all Member States, while bearing in mind their specific contexts and various starting positions, as well as their research and innovation potential to maximise the scope and impact of European RDI policy.
The paper also highlights other issues e.g.:
- increasing the total budget for the Framework programme, in particular for Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions and the European Research Council.
- a more coherent approach between national and EU policies.
- achieving efficient synergies on the policy and operational levels.
- acknowledging the importance of the contribution of social sciences and humanities as a separate challenge.
