FACCE-JPI elects Hartmut Stalb as new chair
The Governing Board of the Joint Programming Initiative FACCE (Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change) has appointed Dr. Hartmut Stalb from Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft (BMEL), Germany, as the JPI’s new chair. The election was confirmed in the Governing Board’s meeting on December 1–2 in Berlin. The FACCE-JPI thanked Mr. Stab's predecessor Niels Gøtke who ended his term.
In his vision speech, Mr. Stalb foresees that FACCE-JPI needs to concentrate on well-defined actions which have the highest potential for alignment between member states and the EU. He also wishes to deepen the cooperation with the EU Commission as well as with the Standing Committee for Agricultural (SCAR). In general, he wishes to maintain the FACCE-JPI spirit and momentum.
