On 10 October 2016 the Austrian FP9 Think Tank presented its Theses Paper to Austrian Stakeholders in Vienna. The paper, focusing on 10 theses, has been published on 4 October. The presentation was followed by an in depth discussion with Austrian Stakeholders. During six workshops - including new ways for mission oriented research, simplification, future of industry research, frontier research & human resources, the international dimension and science & society - valuable input was provided by participants. The input gathered will help shaping the Theses Paper towards a second edition (March 2017). The next step in the Austrian FP9 preparation process will be an online consultation, open from 11 October - 30 November 2016.
