Competitiveness Council discusses Open Science
During the Research part of the last Competitiveness Council on May 27 in Brussels, the Research Ministers adopted Council conclusions on the FP 7 Ex Post Evaluation, Research and Innovation friendly Regulation, and the transiton towards Open Science. The Ministers discussed Open Science in detail, stressing for example the importance of open access to publicly financed research (either with the Green or the Gold Modell), and adequate and interoperable infrastructure for data storage. Commissioner Carlos Moedas announced the launch of the "Open Science Policy Platform", which shall provide advice on different aspects of open science.
The Council Meeting ended with a ministerial lunch debate on the national ERA Roadmaps.TOP
