EFFRA holds public consultation on Factories of the Future H2020 work programme

As part of its preparations for strategic discussions with the European Commission, the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) has launched a public consultation on the "Factories of the Future" work programme 2018-2020.

Photonics Stakeholders are encouraged to provide their views on the public consultation via the EFFRA website, which will be used to compile a roadmap document to complement the FoF2020 roadmap. This roadmap, entitled 'Factories 4.0 and beyond', will be delivered to the European Commission as a contribution to the preparation of the FoF PPP work programme 2018-2020.

EFFRA is an industry-driven association promoting pre-competitive research on production technologies within the European Research Area by engaging in "Factories of the Future" contractual public-private partnerships. "Factories of the Future" aims to bring private and public resources together by launching market-orientated cross-border projects, producing demonstrators and models which are applied in a range of manufacturing sectors.
