EU action plan for Open Science is presented as outcome of NL Presidency conference
The Amsterdam Call for Action on Open Science is the key outcome of the two-day conference "Open Science – From Vision to Action" which was organised by the Dutch EU Council Presidency on 4 and 5 April 2016.
The presented action plan contains specific action points to speed up the transition to Open Science in Europe; the three main goals, consist of:
1. Full Open Access to all publicly funded scientific publications by 2020.
2. Open Data as the standard for all publicly funded research.
3. More Open Science, which will maximise the effectiveness and impact of science on society and the economy.
EU ministers for research and innovation will discuss Open Science and their goals and plans for the years ahead at the Competitiveness Council meeting on 27 May 2016.
