New diversity prize launched for Austrian higher education and research institutions
The Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) has launched a new prize for diversity management. The "Diversitas" Prize, worth a total of € 150,000.-, will be awarded in 2016 for the first time. The prize will be given to Austrian higher education and research institutions for outstanding, innovative performance in the field of diversity management. Its aim is to create increased awareness for a diversity-oriented and discrimination-free culture in the organisational structures of Austrian higher education and research institutions, highlighting examples of "good practice".
The call is open for public and private Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences, the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and the Ludwig Boltzmann Society. The call will be open until the end of May 2016.
