EIT publishes Call for KIC Food and KIC Manufacturing
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has launched the 2016 Call for new Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) for the creation of two new KICs: EIT Food and EIT Manufacturing, today, 14 January 2016. The Call addresses innovators from business, higher education and research, to create two new KICs for Food and Manufacturing, in addition to the five already existing KICs in the areas of climate, digital, energy, health, and raw materials innovation.
EIT Food will seek to develop innovative solutions to ensure a climate-resilient and sustainable global food value chain. EIT Manufacturing aims at strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of Europe’s manufacturing industry.
The Call is open until July 2016 and the winning partnerships will be announced in November 2016.
