Austria launches online consultation on national ERA Roadmap
The Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy invites Austrian stakeholders to comment on the draft Austrian ERA Roadmap. The European Research Area aims to guarantee free circulation of researchers, knowledge and technology. To achieve this goal, Member States need to carry out structural reforms suitable for overcoming any barriers to these objectives. At European level, key areas for the necessary reforms have been identified and translated into a European ERA Roadmap 2015 – 2020. Based on this European Roadmap, EU Member states are called upon to develop national measures. In Austria, a drafting process for the Austrian ERA Roadmap, led by the Austrian delegates of the ERA-related groups or the responsible thematic coordinators, started in September 2015. The work of these groups resulted in a draft version of an Austrian ERA Roadmap, which is now subject to public consultation. Austrian stakeholders are invited to take part in this consultation and to comment on the draft by 31 December 2015.
