ERC provides new analysis of ERC projects funded in 2007-2013

The European Research Council (ERC) has analysed the portfolio of its projects funded from 2007 to 2013 under the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP7). The report on this analysis entitled "Science behind projects" was published on 13 October 2015. It provides a general overview of the research landscape of ERC projects in the domains of life sciences, physical sciences and engineering, and social sciences and humanities. It also gives information on the main scientific areas funded by the ERC in the Starting Grant (StG), Consolidator Grant (CoG) and Advanced Grant (AdG) calls launched under FP7. Between 2007 and 2013, the ERC funded over 4,300 research projects selected from over 40,000 submitted proposals, with a total budget of €7.5 billion.
