EIT publishes evaluation criteria for 2016 Call
The EIT has published the Evaluation Criteria for the 2016 Call for Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) proposals. To further enhance its impact and to incentivise the innovations needed to meet major societal challenges, the Institute is continuing to expand its activities by launching a call for two new Knowledge and Innovation Communities: 1) EIT Food: ensuring a climate-resilient and sustainable global food value chain (food4future) and 2) EIT Manufacturing: strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of Europe’s manufacturing industry (added-value manufacturing).
The first step in the process of designating the new Knowledge and Innovation Communities in November 2016 is the publication of the Evaluation Criteria. These criteria build on the principles set in the EIT Regulation and the EIT's core values of impact, excellence and partnership. Aligned with the EIT's mission, the criteria will ensure that the designated KICs have all the necessary elements. The EIT will then publish the Framework of Guidance in November 2015, followed by the launch of the Call on 14 January 2016.
