Nearly 2,000 proposals submitted to ERC Advanced Grant Call

The European Commission has announced that the recent Advanced Grant Call of the European Research Council received a total of 1,953 proposals. The deadline for this call was 2 June 2015.

The largest share was once again accounted for by Physical Sciences and Engineering with 887 proposals, followed by Life Sciences with 643, and Social Sciences and Humanities with 423.

ERC Advanced Grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they are already established research leaders with a recognised track record of research achievements. The Grant is open to researchers of any nationality who intend to conduct their research activity in any Member State or Associated Country.

In addition, the EC has also released the call results for the following calls:

  • Horizon 2020 Twinning Call (evaluation results)
  • Horizon 2020 Water Innovation (call results)
  • Horizon 2020 Waste (call results)
  • Horizon 2020 Growing a Low Carbon, Resource Efficient Economy with a Sustainable Supply of Raw Materials (call results)
