Informal Meeting of Council Competitiveness discusses research integrity and gender equality in research
EU Research ministers came together on 21 July 2015 at the research part of the informal meeting of the Council Competitiveness. The main topics for discussion were in line with the two priorities of the Luxembourg Council Presidency: “Promoting Research Integrity in the European Research Area (ERA)”, and “Advancing gender equality in the ERA”. Furthermore, Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation presented his “Priorities for the Future: Open Innovation, Open Science, Open to the World”. The presidency plans to deepen the discussions on research integrity at the next meeting of the Council Competitiveness in October 2015 and aims at adopting Council Conclusions on this issue in December.
