ERC publishes list of ERC Advanced Grant holders

The European Research Council (ERC) has published details on proposals submitted and selected in the ERC Advanced Grants Call 2014. A total of 2,287 proposals were submitted, out of which 190 were selected, which means a success rate of 8.3%.

The largest number of proposals were submitted and selected in Physical Sciences and Engineering (1,057 / 83), followed by Life Sciences (705 / 73) and Social Sciences and Humanities (525 / 34).

The grantees' host institutions are located in 17 different countries, three of them in Austria. The grantees themselves have 23 different nationalities. Four out of the 190 grantees are Austrian (all of them male). The country with the largest share of host institutions (45) and of grantees (38) is the United Kingdom, followed by Germany (29 host institutions, 33 grantees). Only 10% of all grantees are female (19 out of 190).
