Horizon 2020 budget details after EFSI agreement

Following the European Parliament's vote on the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI) and the Council decision to adopt the EFSI regulation on 24 and 25 June 2015 respectively, the budget breakdown on how the agreed cuts to Horizon 2020 will be distributed over the different parts of the Framework Programme are now officially available. During the trilogue negotiations, the orginal amount of € 2.7 billion of cuts to the Horizon 2020 budget had been reduced to € 2.2 billion. The ERC and the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions as well as "Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation" will retain their original budget, since it was agreed that they would be exempt from budget cuts.

The budget reductions in favour of the EFSI in percent of the original Horizon 2020 budget of December 2015 are as follows:
