EIT publishes Key Assumptions for 2016 KIC Call
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) published the "Key Assumptions" for the next two new KICs (Knowledge and Innovation Communities), which are due to be selected in 2016.
In accordance with the EIT's Strategic Innocation Agenda and Horizon 2020, the two new KICs will address
- Food4Future - Sustainable Supply Chain from Resources to Consumers; and
- Added-value Manufacturing.
As the next step, the Selection Criteria for the new KICs will be published in the fourth quarter of 2015. According to the EIT, these will be based on the principles of the EIT Regulation and the EIT's core values and will "ensure that the designated KICs have all the elements needed for a KIC to be a KIC". The new KICs will be designated in the fourth quarter of 2016.
