Ministers agree on declaration to protect digital rights in the development of neurotechnology
At their informal ministerial meeting in León, the EU's telecommunications and digital ministers agreed on a joint declaration for the development of a humanist neurotechnology that protects digital rights and contributes to progress towards open strategic autonomy. This is the first declaration in this field and has been promoted by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU. The León Declaration encourages investment and public-private collaboration, and protects digital rights in the development of neurotechnologies.
