Guidance on establishing an evaluation framework for gender equality plan implementation published

A new document was published by the GenderActionPlus project, which outlines guidance on establishing an evaluation framework for gender equality plans. This guidance is aimed at national authorities but also considers the role and responsibility of the European Commission and other important actors including research funding organisations and research performing organisations in ensuring that GEP implementation is a successful and sustainable endeavour.
Evaluation at national level is key to understanding the impact of GEPs as an instrument for institutional change. Effective evaluation ensures that the relevancy, effectiveness, sustainability and impact of GEP implementation are measured and analysed.
Another report, the 'Second report on monitoring ERA Action 5 implementation at national level', is based on a survey and describes which ERA Action 5 targets have been adopted at national level, which measures are being implemented and whether and what information is being collected on the implementation of measures. It demonstrates that not all objectives are supported by measures and, conversely, that in most countries there is a lack of information on the implementation of measures in those areas addressed by the objectives.
