CESAER elects Orla Feely as its new president

CESAER, the association of universities of science and technology in Europe, has announed that Orla Feely has been elected as the association's new president for a two-year term from 2024 to 2025. She will take over from Rik Van de Walle (Rector of Ghent University) who will finish his second term as President at the end of 2023. Orla Feely has been with CESAER for many years already and, between 2019 and 2021, she served as the association's Vice-President and Treasurer.
In addition, the association's thirty-seventh General Assembly also elected three Directors for a four-year term from 2024 to 2027. Tim Bedford (Associate Principal Research & Knowledge Exchange at University of Strathclyde) and Roberto Zanino (Rector's Delegate for PhD Programs and International University Networks at Politecnico di Torino), were re-elected for a second term. Katharina Füglister (Director of International Affairs at Ecole Polytéchnique Fédérale de Lausanne) was elected for a first term.
